About mid-week, I decided to update my sadly lacking and much neglected blog. I then discovered my nice Big Girl Camera which cost my entire Christmas bonus plus some, didn't come with the get-the-pictures-from-the-camera-to-the-computer cord, and my handy-dandy printer wouldn't read the SD card. (Shall I mention it reads SD cards from my husband's and his friend's game cams? ERRRRGGHHH!) So, my camera is full of wonderful pictures. In light of this, here are the posts that weren't:
Never Seen Anything Like It! (picturing our snow - blizzard standards by South Arkansas)
Spring has Sprung (featuring my blooming quince, wisteria, daffodils, red-bud trees and honey-bees galore so loaded with pollen they could barely fly.)
The Cat's Meow (I got a great sequence of my cat rolling around in the dirt - don't ask me why - but she loves it.)
Festus Lives (featuring my dear husband and his mules. I don't have the heart to tell him he's met his match in stubbornness.)
Gardening Glory (featuring before and after - well, before, during, and developing shots of my dream garden.)
As it is, here is the best I can do right now:
This is what I did over most of my break, though I didn't look nearly so perky. I was usually found piled up on the sofa under a blanket with puffy eyes from dozing and wrinkles on my face from the lumpy pillow. (You can only do so much quiet stuff while the other-half sleeps. Napping is inevitable.) All in all, it's been a good break. The Lord knew I needed enforced down-time and I've gotten it. Now, just making it though the other 52 days of school left will be the challenge. But, I'm up for it - I know good things are waiting for me at the other end!
