Watch Out Vera Bradley!

The past two days have truly felt like summer vacation.  Except for a flying trip to WM for more thread, I have been able to stay home!  On one of my previous excursions, I picked up materials for several projects.  I have a new piece of furniture that looked naked without a pillow or throw.  Needless to say, I couldn't find a throw anywhere, so settled for making my own.  Here's a close-up of the fabric and the finished piece.  It looks much homier and confortable now! 

Now, for the piece of pride, my ipad cover.  I quilted the fabric myself (something I'm not sure I want to do again, but it is do-able.)  The pattern is all my own too.  I have a smart cover (not pictured) that will protect it a bit, but I wanted to be able to throw it in my bag and not have it get scratched with keys and other purse stuff.  So, I decided to dress it in style.  I'm including a close-up of the quilting (don't judge.), and over all look, then a pix with pocket open and the full monty.  The ipad measures 7 wide by about 9.5 long, so my envelope is a bit bigger than it looks. 

Not bad for a two days work.  Keep checking - I'm going to try to be more faithful about posting!
